ABOUT A.M.E.S COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, AMBUR.

           In memory of the Centenary Celebrations of the Ambur Muslim Educational Society conducted in September, 2006 with the then President, His Excellency Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, a project to establish a Teachers Training B.Ed., College, in the style of “A.M.E.S COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, AMBUR” was proposed with Co-Ed., and the application for the proposal was submitted to the Southern Regional Director NCTE, Bangalore on 26.12.2006 with English as the medium of instruction.
5 Acres of land was also set apart for this A.M.E.S College of Education, in the campus of Mazharul Uloom College, Ambur.
A Two man Commission inspected the Class Room facilities, Library, Science and Psychology laboratories and Audio Visual Technology, Play Grounds, Arts & Craft and Computer on 21.07.2007 and pleased to recommend for the grant of recognition.
The Inaugural function of the A.M.E.S College of Education was held with Dua on 01.09.2008.

The National Council for Teacher Education, Government of India, New Delhi had accorded Recognition to our Institute vide their Letter Ref. No. F.SRO/NCTE/B.Ed.,/2006-2007/19075, dated: 28.03.2008, and for B.Ed., Programme of Two Years duration with an annual intake of 100 Students for two basic units of 50 Students each from the academic year 2015 - 2016 vide their Letter SRO/NCTE/APS08217/B.Ed/TN/2014-15/65427 dt. 25.05.2015, of the Regional Director of NCTE, Southern Regional Committee, Bangalore – 560 072.The Institute has also obtained Affiliation from the Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University to conduct the B.Ed., Degree Programme, Vide their Letter Ref. No. TNTEU/R/Affln./2008/35, dated: 28th August, 2008, and for Two Years B.Ed., programme Vide Letter No. TNTEU/R/Affln./Syn-Feb 2016-Item.No.07/2016/118, dt.02.02.2016 of Tamilnadu Teachers Education University, Chennai –97.
